| DAN Ultimate II | I've been using this desktop since February 1998. It came with a Pentium II 300MHZ and 64MB RAM, but I've
recently upgraded it at home with a new motherboard to a Pentium III 600MHZ with 128MB SDRAM. The new motherboard is an ASUS P3B-F. Doing upgrades at home can be a lot of fun, and very satisfying. There's quite a lot of help available from newsgroups and web sites. Check out the Help! page if you'd like some help on upgrading your own PC. |
| Soundblaster Live! Platinum | This is a pretty sophisticated sound card. I particularly like it because it comes with a drive that sits in a bay in the front of the PC. I can plug things into this instead of having to fight with a tangle of wires at the back of the PC. This makes it a good choice for anyone keen on doing a bit of home recording with their computer. |
| HP CD-Writer+ 8100 | I've had this CD-Writer for about 12 months, and it's been very reliable. It was a bit of a nightmare to install, but that may have been my fault since it's supposed to be very easy. Still, now it's up and going I wouldn't want to be without it! |
| Iiyama Monitor | This nice Iiyama monitor came with my PC. It's been reliable, and it looks good. |

| Toshiba | I have a Toshiba Tecra 500 CDT. It was very sophisticated when I bought it about 5 years ago, but I suppose it's rather out of date now with a 486 processor. Still, it's the second Toshiba laptop I've had and I've been pleased with both of them. |
